Wisconsin has extended football coach Bret
Bielema's five-year contract through the 2016 season.
Bielema is now under contract through January 31, 2017, the school announced
Friday.
It was the second time in two years Wisconsin extended his contract by one
year.
Bielema, who took over for Barry Alvarez in 2006, is 60-19 as head coach of
the Badgers. They won 11 games in each of the last two seasons, but lost back-
to-back Rose Bowls to TCU and Oregon.
